I feel like a million dollars! If your food isn't poisoning you, you are so lucky!

Porridge
Day 5 of the elimination diet and I'm feeling pretty good, despite general mockery tripling from mere veganism.
One thing that horrified me when the dietitian ruled on it was the switch from muesli to porridge. I still resent the slur cast on muesli with the assertion that porridge will fill me all morning (not true, I'm hungry by 10 am at the latest, no different to muesli) but I am coming to appreciate the good points of porridge.
1. Warm
2. Melty golden syrup
Actually I thought that list would be longer when I started this post, but never mind. That's still two good points.
Besides, I can't have nuts, seeds, coconut or smoothie mix, so muesli would just be cold porridge.

Irony
I finally bit the bullet and coughed up to see a dietitian. It was getting ridiculous.
I like people who talk about food. She knew stuff. She had empty packets of food on display. She was down on quinoa but pro tofu.
I am currently stripped of 90% of the food available to humans, for various reasons. Some of my own making and some of hers.
But here's the amazing thing: licorice is OFF THE SCALE badness!!
If you like irony, this is the big time.

Bargain: the sequel
Nothing makes me happier than a bargain, unless it is a bargain that is more of a bargain than a bargain that Sam got and bragged about.

Agro in a good way
Today I was in the zone like never before. Mortification over my second hand swim lesson has faded, and gratitude (along with the recommended aggression) reigns. You only feel that good while swimming once every 1.5 years.

Castaway
I have an eerie feeling I'm the only person in Auckland this weekend. Though common sense suggests otherwise. Unlike Tom Hanks in Castaway, I have youtube and chocolate bread, which makes me lucky.

Hands
Looking at the mechanics of your own hand is meant to be one marvel in an arsenal of small delights. So I've heard. That does inspire me generally, but not today as I can't see my hands. What are the chances that mum would freshly knit me hand warmers that I can type with the day before a cold snap? Now that's worth marvelling over!
